How To Register For A CNA Exam

  • 1. Complete CNA Registration form

    • Click here or the button below to pay testing fee to receive CNA Registration Form

    • You will receive the Registration Form to complete your registration via email after payment

  • Skills Exam

    140$
    After completion of a state approved CNA Program students have 24 months to test for certification
     
  • Written Exam

    140$

  • Skills & Written

    280$
    After completion of a state approved CNA Program students have 24 months to test for certification
     
  • 2. Choose exam date

    • ​If first choice is unavailable, the candidate will be registered for 2nd choice

    • ​If both choices are unavailable the candidate will be contacted by email or phone to choose a new test date​​

    • ​If space is available, the candidate will be registered for their first choice

  • 3. Include testing fees (cash, check, or money orders only)

    • To take the written examination: $140

    • To take the manual skills examination: $140

    • To take BOTH the written and the manual skills examination: $280

    • A retake of either exam will require the full payment amount but will include a complementary refresher course.

    • Reschedule fee of $25 will be applied per test (applies for missed/absent/canceled exams)

  • 4. Send or deliver the completed packet to D.Hill Medial Center

    • ​Exam registration form must be completely filled out

    • Must be exact cash. Check or money order must be payable to D. Hill School of Healthcare Services, LLC

Testing Day

On the day of your exam allow yourself 10 to 15 minutes before the exam begins to find parking and be checked in. If you are late for the exam, you will not be allowed to test. You will be asked to reschedule your exam for another day. A rescheduling fee will be required. YOUR FEES WILL NOT BE REFUNDED.
 

To be allowed to test you MUST HAVE the following items:

  1. A valid government photo ID (copies will not be accepted)

  2. Your social security card


If you fail to bring any of the items listed above or your names do not match, you will be asked to reschedule your exam for another day. A rescheduling fee will be required.

Exam Details

There are two portions to the CNA exams: written and manual. The exam takes about 3 to 4 hours to complete so plan accordingly.


Written exams:

  • You will have 2 hours to complete the exam.

  • You will be told when 15 minutes remain in order to finish.

 

Manual Exam:

  • You will be tested on 3 skills.

  • Handwashing will always be one of the skills.

  • You will have 30 minutes to complete the exam.

  • There are 22 skills in the Prometric handbook.

Exam Results

Test results will be given the day of the exam. It is required that you pass the written exam prior to moving forward to the manual skills exam. If you would like to retest, please feel free to reach out to our testing center to make arrangements.
